#GOOGLE EARTH DOWNLOAD FOR KINDLE FIRE HOW TO#
Most apps are very inexpensive.įor the past few months, I have been exploring how to use mine in band settings.I've already created (via dJay) cool mixes for break music that sound like a real DJ, not just an iPod on shuffle, and I'm working with a handful of apps to find the right one to build & display set-lists with the kind of notes functionality I want. The list goes on and on, and depending on your interests, etc., there are tons of uses and apps to suit them.

On rare occasions, yes, I play games with mine.
#GOOGLE EARTH DOWNLOAD FOR KINDLE FIRE UPDATE#
I use the Evernote app to be able to jot down important memos wherever I am and wirelessly update them to my phone & computer and share them with my wife's Evernote account as well. On that same aspect, I do most of the managing/maintaining of band business I am responsible for (especially Gigmasters work) on my iPad. I do it on my iPad (and the over-stuffed chair in the living room is way more comfortable than my desk chair in the home office where my computer resides). I rarely sit at my computer at home to browse the web (including this site), check/read email, etc. I no longer buy physical books for the most part: I buy them in the Kindle store and read them via the Kindle app on my iPad. I could easily invest $600+ in an iPad for promptering and home recording.and never really use it, ha! Something like the Alesis iDock might be cool as I am a very novice recorder of music.but I do have a setup already. I have laptop (Windows) with a USB recording interface (Mackie Blackjack) and already use an ampless rig (pedal board with Tech 21 Para DI, Line 6 M13, and Boomerang III). The Tascam mics might be of interest, but the iRig stuff, etc, is not. ***I took a quick peak at iPad hardware for musicians via. I see all the cool apps and plugins for the iPad out there and think they are great.but like I said, I know myself well enough to know I won't put the time (or extra money) into using them. If I played out a ton, I'd do it, but truth is I need a "prompter" because I only play 1-2x a month and get rusty. I will get one for work later this year, but won't be able to use it for music. This is tough as I really *want* an iPad, but I am not sure how much I'd use it.
